Cell Science Teacher Academy will take place in-person at the Allen Institute from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day on August 9-11, 2023. This workshop is an opportunity for teachers to work with our scientists and researchers to learn how to use our open data tools in their classrooms, explore our curriculum resources, tour our specialized research labs, and learn more about STEM career pathways and research. 

• Open to high school life science teachers able to attend 3 days of in-person workshops in Seattle, WA 
• Must be currently employed and teaching a biological or life science course (electives, CTE courses, etc) or a pre-service life science teacher 
• Teachers who reside outside of the Seattle area or outside of Washington are welcome to apply. Support for lodging and travel will not be provided, but participants will receive a stipend award upon completion of the workshop
• Attendees will receive a $600 stipend upon full completion of the workshop. 16 STEM clock hours will be available for purchase through WSTA for eligible Washington educatiors
